Why am i bored of video games - What are the reasons to this

What causes the video game to get boring

Low Specs PC or Mobile The reason you might be losing interest in video games and it does not seem fun to play these games now may be its because of your PC. This can be a reason why you are getting bored of video games. For example when PUBG mobile was released I had a Samsung phone on which i used to play Pubg mobile. The game used to run smoothly and i used to have a lot of fun while playing with my friends but as timed passed I noticed that i wasn't able to perform better in Pubg mobile than my friends. I tried my best to regain my form and also learned to play with 4 fingers instead of two. I used to practice and also use to see tutorials on YouTube but one day I noticed that all the youtubers that play Pubg mobile had one thing in common that they all used high specs devices for example iphone or an android phone with a snapdragon 855 processor when i compared my phone with theirs came to conclusion that the updates have not only introduced new features in the game but also increased the games requirements and my phone was a Samsung j8 with a snapdragon 450 cpu. So, as a new update use to come the video game used to get more laggy i tried to change my phone but couldn't due to some problems. So, I switched to emulator because I had a PC with i52nd generation processor and 8 gb ram which i thought was good enough to run the game but unfortunately the same thing happened here after a few updates the game got laggy the only way to get good performance in the game was to get a Graphic card which again was not possible for me. I started to lose interest in the video game because with was almost unplayable for me and Pubg mobile the game i used to play for hours with my friends got boring. I somehow managed to buy an android phone Aqous R2 which has a snapdragon 845 processor. Pubg mobile used to run smoothly on that device and i again developed the same interest in the game as i used to have.

 

Unstable Internet connection

This can also cause a decrease in your interest for a video game if that game requires an internet connection for example 8 ball pool or PUBG PC which cannot be played offline. Unstable can directly affect your performance in the video game for example if you get high ping in fortnite then the enemy who wont be as skill as you are can easily win the battle if he/ she has a stable internet connection. Unstable internet connection causes drop in fps, less damage and slowing of the in game stuff.

Upadates and Gifts in the Game

This can also be a reason why one loses interest in a video game and one gets bored of games is because the changes that comes along with the new updates. The main reason is the sometimes people feel uncomfortable with the new things introduced in the video game after a certain update and plus the video game settings also sometimes changes which can become a headache to reset it again. For example some of my friends with whom i use to play pubg mobile told me that they after the changes in the erangel map with the new update dont want to play it now. This slowly lead to loss of their interest for the game.
Plus they also told me that they have been trying from a long time to get m416 glacier but Pubg mobile developers wont let them have it. They said that they once open a total of 50 plus crates but did not got their desired gun due to which they boycotted Pubg mobile and started playing Clash of clans.

Playing too much

Sometimes playing a video game too much can also cause a decrease in the interest and it can become boring to play that video game. This is because you are repeating the same things again and again which now feels boring.

Studies

Yes you read it correctly studies lead to loss in interest for a particular video game if and only if you a obedient student. Which that you want to get good grades all the time, get into a good college etc. Due to this you wont be able to focus on games and which will automatically reduce your interest in video games.

Time wastages

Sometimes one feels that playing video games is a waste of time which if we think about it is really a waste of time but not if you are earning from that video game. For example YouTube or streamers earn a living by playing videos games but if you are just playing it for fun and that too for hours than you are wasting your time and energy both you should be something more productive.

Other distractions

Many other things which can cause reduce interest in video games are :
1. Family pressure forcing you not play video games.
2. Busy routine you dont get enough time to play video games
3. The video game is really hard or easy to play
4. The video game is really broing or not meant for you.
